What you’ll do:

The Cloud Developer builds from the ground up to meet the needs of mission-critical applications, and is always looking for innovative approaches to deliver end-to-end technical solutions to solve customer problems.


Brings technical thinking to break down complex data and to engineer new ideas and methods for solving, prototyping, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions.


Collaborates with project managers and development partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring, and support of Cloud engagements.


The Cloud Developer provides business value expertise to drive the development of innovative service offerings that enrich HPE's Cloud Services portfolio across multiple systems, platforms, and applications.

Management Level Definition:

Applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.

  • Automating the build, test, and deployment processes to reduce errors and increase efficiency.
  • Managing and maintaining the build and release infrastructure, including tools and servers.
  • Collaborating with development teams to ensure that software builds are stable and meet quality standards.
  • Managing and resolving build and release issues in a timely manner.
  • Managing version control systems and ensuring that code is properly branching and merging.
  • Creating and maintaining build and release scripts and processes to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of software products.
  • Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development. 
  • Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards
  • Design, build, manage and operate the infrastructure and configuration of SaaS applications with a focus on automation and infrastructure as code.
  • Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization.

What you need to bring:

  • Strong coding and troubleshooting experience in any of the following languages: Shell scripting and Python or Java
  • Extensive experience with build tools: Maven, Gradle, Ant
  • Admin level experience with tools like Git, Artifactory and Nexus
  • Working experience implementing, operating and optimizing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.)
  • Knowledge of any container orchestration frameworks (Kubernetes, ECS/Fargate, Docker Swarm, Mesos, etc.)
  • Extensive experience as a Linux system administrator supporting enterprise computing platforms, and systems.
  • Experience with Terraform and Ansible is a plus.
  • Good automation and programming skills
  • Good in B&R automation
  • Should be able to work with cross-geo teams and across timezones
  • Prefer candidates from product companies
